BSAC is the UK governing body for recreational diving and stands for BRITISH SUB AQUA CLUB. Founded in the mid fifties, BSAC is one of the worlds longest established diving agencies, as well as being the worlds largest diving club, with some 70,000 members. BSAC has both a club and school based training system. BSAC training is designed, and therefore ideally suited, for diving in UK waters.
Having recently undergone revision to bring it into line with the needs of today’s divers, the BSAC school system allows students to complete their training in a short full-time programme, rather than the extended once weekly club training of old , if preferred.
