As from 2005 Simon will be the new field diving officer based at Rothera research station Antarctica, working for the British Antartic Survey team.

Based there till 2006 Simon will be responsible for all diving including all scientific / commercial diving , recompression chamber operations  , equipment servicing ,and all supervision of scientists underwater collection of valuable samples.
